We are a 500 acre family run mixed stock unit at Postlip Hall Farm, Winchcombe, on the side of Cleeve Hill. We have around 350 store cattle, 1500 breeding sheep, 400 ewe lambs and 1000 store lambs. Fodder beet, barley, stubble turnips and grass are grown for our own use.
Life on the Farm -
There is always something going on a daily basis with all the stock husbandry involved in looking after the animals. The fields are usually full of sheep and cattle grazing. The working dogs keep everyone on their toes. The farm is crisscrossed with footpaths, including the Cotswold Way and there is easy walking access to Cleeve Common. The seasons dictate our work patterns and the days are varied.
Richard and Dawn
We have been married for 30 years and raised 4 children who regularly help on the farm. We enjoy other people's company and hope to make your stay feel like a real home from home. There is an Aga in the kitchen keeping the whole house warm all year round and plenty of tea and fresh cake on offer all day. We have ducks, chickens and farm dogs and a terraced patio overlooking the valley below, where you can enjoy a mug of tea or glass of wine!
